Human class, Like in Ragnarok Online, they will greatly play the role of “tank” once again during battle.

Created by the God Hand, humans are perfectly suited for the role of knight. Being a tank by absorbing enemy damage to keep fellow players alive portrays the actions of a human in this game. These brute warriors seem to be in the center of battles due to their incredible defense and their determination to fight for what they believe in. This could be why humans are one of the races in the round table.

Elf (Healer)

If you were a Ragnarok plyaer before, Do you ever thought, wondered and dreamed having the vast destructive nuke magics of wizards and the the healing, buff`ing skills of a priest?

Now your dream has come true in Rohan’s Elf (Healer) Class.

Proficient and gentle souled, elves are your center source of recovery, defense and vitality in Rohan. Especially in parties, elves assists party members with healing and protection. But don’t be fooled, a fury of ranged magic attacks can be unleashed when alone. These elves are one of the three races in the peace assured round table.

Half Elf (Archer)

Ragnarok players of Archers, Hunters, and Snipers won’t miss a spot in Rohan.

These masters of bow/crossbows are the offspring of both humans and elves. From being shunned by their forefathers, half elves or halflings, resorted in forests where they became the ultimate hunters. Able to be used in parties or solo, this race’s accuracy is unmatched. Using magic in some of their attacks, half elves eventually joined the peace assured round table and accepted by the humans and elves.

Dhan (Assassin)

Ok, I know you already notice now I keep comparing the two (Rohan and Ragnarok) MMORPG’s till now. Well, who wouldn’t think so? Rohan have the Dhan’s a.k.a. the Assasin Class…

First lead by the prophet Haillok, Dhans, one of six races in the game, are a unique and special breed. They can choose to become anonymous killers who prey on other players for experience, this is called the assassination mode. However, they cannot party with others or join quests while in this mode, nor can they be identified by their victims for revenge. Dhans are renegade assassins that generally operate alone, and will kill at every opportunity.

Dekan (Dragon Fighter)

Ok, this one is unique.

Originally stationed at the borders of the countries by Ohn to prevent any cultures from blending, the Dekans defy nature. Clashing with Dhans in the Bahran islands, made the Dekans mass their strength and increase their power. Usually fighting alone, the Dekan race may transform into a dragon, use a blood sucking ability or attack large area’s of land, Dekans are found to be a lone powerhouse.

Nearly incomprehensible, these changelings defy nature. Dekans are born with the nascent ability to transform from humanoid to a fiercely violent dragon!

They evolve more quickly in the form of dragon rather than humanoid, and employ a unique bloodsucking skill to weaken opponents.
* Dragon Sage
Specialized hunters that can attack large areas at once. Pray you do not cross them underwater.

Story
“Not even death can curb our dignity.” Unlike other races who were created by main god Ohn, Dekans, descendents of Blue Dragon Armenes, named their nation after their creator. Inhabiting the north, with capital Rev’Deca at the center, Dekans maintain an odd rivalry with the nearby Dhans. Profoundly proud of their provenance as dragon’s descendents, Dekans are disposed to disdaining other races created by the lower gods.

Dark Elf (Mage)

This one is unique also, although this character class keeps reminding me of the “Dark Templars” in StarCraft. I wonder if Rohan has a twist of story like in StarCraft wherein the High Templars of the Protoss Race defy the ways of the Dark Templars but in the end they joined forces together to defaut the Scourge.

Mysterious and cautious about their self-defense, Dark Elves use a series of powerful magic attacks. Not much is known about the dark elves but their transportation and weakening powers are well known around Rohan. Excelling in group battles, Dark elves have the ability to kill an enemy before it reach’s them. Although not much is known, Dark elves have a strong despise for the human and elf race. This races main goal seems to be to drive the elves and humans out of their land.

Rohan Online was actually released last year May 28, 2008 (Open Beta) in Korea, its developer YNK Korea (almost the same company), its publisher YNK Interactive.

It’s a Fantasy MMORPG with quite unique game features.

Revenge System

Rohan’s exclusive Revenge System enables you to keep track of your PVP battle outcomes. What’s more is that you can avenge yourself at any time to kill anyone who has killed you in the past!

Now, I don’t know about this one. I hope religious sectors won’t see this, as revenge is bad.

The Hit List records the most recent 50 battles that you have engaged in and their respective opponents and outcomes. Through the Revenge System, you can verify the log in status of the any player in your Hit List, and through Vengeance, teleport to that player and be afforded a rematch.

As is always said, “Revenge is a dish best served cold” and here in Rohan, you’re the master chef. You can take your revenge in any way you want: Wait for your victim to be alone in the field, ambush him inside a dungeon, or even bring a whole party against him!

Although Vengeance grants you only one opportunity to avenge yourself against your killer recorded in your Hit List, you can purchase additional attempts from the Vengeance Charge NPCs stationed in each town.

Township Battles

The Township Battle is a massive PVP battle system taking place on independent battlefields instead of ordinary fields. Each town in the world of Rohan Online can be occupied by a single guild, allowing them to levy taxes on the shopkeepers and all trading within that town.

Even better is the fact that Township Battle winners get to wear unique “Champion’s Armor” that would distinguish them from the rest of the competition.

The Township Battle is not complicated: to win, simply be the guild with the most number of Township Battle points at the end of the battle and occupy at least one Township Battle Stronghold.

Gaining points is as simple as killing members of an enemy guild, taking over a Township Battle Stronghold Point, and maintaining control of a Stronghold Point.

However, combat will be fierce, and mastering the map may be the key to your victory. The battle map appears like numerous castles, complete with high walls that archers can shoot from. Stronghold Points may not be easy to find within the town’s walls, so it will definitely require a combination of speed and strategy to win.

This is like Ragnarok’s WOE (War of Emperium), but instead will be more like the medieval times where you always guard your castle.

Exchange Center

First ever in the Philippines, Rohan Online will give its players the chance to sell their items, in-game currency, and even their characters through a secure web-based system. Now, you can avoid being scammed because the web system ensures that an actual item is being sold.

If you don’t have fast internet connection, let’s say you are using dial-up or smartbro (a.k.a. smartbroken) plan 999 with 384kbps. (This is around 30-40kbps download bandwidth, sometimes it burst up to 50-70kbps)

I suggest you go for torrent, although if there are less seeds to download from you can still use Direct Download from levelup ftp server, and use a download manager because the default download program of IE (Internet Explorer) and Mozilla Firefox don’t have resume feature.

Installation instructions:

Installation is fairly easy, after downloading the game client just run the setup. Now the tricky part is when the game itself will have several game patches and mods in the future.

After installing, try and run the perfect world shortcut either from your desktop or from your program files. If necessary patches are available. The game client launcher will automatically download this patch. During this process, just wait for it to finish and look out for the “Start Game”.

Teleportation Bug Fix:

Download world_targets.rar file.

This is a rar file so if you still don’t have winrar download from RarLabs. Winzip of the default Windows XP archiver won’t be able to decompress the file.

Extract the file the copy the extracted world_targets.txt file to ”
\element\maps\world”.

Run PW Client. If this doesn’t work don’t hesitate to ask us.

Ok, we thought that it was Mask Rider Black with the pose, counter-strike online games are now getting popular. Well, for me nothing beats the good ol’ counter-strike 1.3 5 on 5 pustahan on the good ol’ de_dust map. After we have WarRock and Special Force Online, I found “Cross FIre” online.

Cross Fire “Mercenary Forces Corporation” is one of Online Counter-Strike-clone MMO. It is still beta version, but you can check out the game because it is “Open Beta”. You can now register here.

Cross Fire “Mercenary Forces Corporation” is under SUBA Games.

I’ll review this game after I download it.

I will not discuss cumulative patch here in SF, since they tend to have good auto-patching and manual patching, sooner or later SF will experience cumulative manual patching if their servers can’t handle the load if lot’s of gamer pinoys connect to the server for auto-patching.

So we will go on with manual patching.

Download Manual Patch.

This is approximately 4.2mb file, so it won’t take that long.

Run the file, Browse your Special Force Online PH game directory folder, then click Patch!

Launch the game, Login your username and password and wait for the Game Guard to finish updating.

Remember, if you have Game Guard problems, just delete the game guard folder and let it update again.

Done.
