MySQL Front is not dead

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

Well I thought it was, while googling for it again checking if there is any news I was a bit of “ooh” when I saw their download page.

I checked their What’s new page and they did continue the project.

Before, mySQL-front is one of the “free” mySQL GUI, althought not open-source or freedom software. It sits right next to phpmyadmin in my list. Last time I heard for mySQL-front is that they stopped the project because of some issues w/ mySQL itself being a “free” mySQL GUI.

After reading the time difference when it stopped, 16 of Jun 2006. They resume the project 27 of Oct 2007 more than a year after. I still use it way back in 2006 till now, but only till now that I knew it was resume more than a year after. Maybe its because I didn’t have problem using the very very old version. :)

Hackintosh

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Currently, I’m playing with Hackintosh a.k.a. OSX86 the Mac OS X installed on a PC. As of now, I’m successful in installing one in a D946GZIS Intel Motherboard, Dual Core Pentium CPU. But still need some fix on driver issues, right now I’m desperate configuring its NIC which is an Intel PRO 100 VE. With two 512 DDR2 Rams and a GEFORCE 7300 GT 256 DDR, its nice to know it’s running smoothly. I will post more in my venture to the hackintosh world.

Xbox 360 Disc Scratch Replacement Program

Xbox 360 Disc Replacement Program

While reading some websites, articles, youtube videos regarding disc scratching on Xbox 360. I found this on http://support.xbox.com regarding their Disc Replacement Program.

But still, it is not satisfying to know that you have to pay your replacement disc if you apply the program. I mean, c’mon you bought your 100% original disc then get scratched by your very own gaming console unit.

Here are some lab (and conventional living room environment test) that the xbox 360 really scratch disc even on its standard operating state.

How to check balance inquiry for TouchMobile (TM) Users

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Ironically, I forgot how to check my load/credit balance in my cellphone. I kept on sending ( “balance” to 222 ). I wanted text message balance inquiry since I like to keep a record in my inbox. In my despair, I called “222″ and an answering machine answered.

“Sorry, this call is not permitted”

…and I’m like…what??!! …wtf???!!

When I got back to my computer, I reliazed I’m not using Globe Prepaid but rather I am using TouchMobile (TM)

So hastily, I googled “touch mobile how to check load”.

I didn’t get what I wanted to see on the first page so I changed my search keyword to “touchmobile check balance” and found my answer in Yahoo! Answers PH.

Here’s the procedure for balance inquiry for text:

Here’s the procedure for balance inquiry through calling:
